Phuket Chess Club is exactly what it sounds like — a bunch of people who love chess, meeting up twice a week to push pawns, trade ideas and make friends. Total beginner who just learned how the horse moves? Seasoned player hunting for a proper fight? Either way, pull up a chair — all levels are welcome, from beginners to experienced players.
We meet every Wednesday and Saturday from 7:30 PM to 2:00 AM at Jerusalem Restaurant Patong — good food, good company, and boards going late into the night. Come for one game or stay for ten. Every move makes you stronger!
Casual games all night, every club night. All levels welcome — from your first game to your thousandth.
Pick up openings, tactics and endgame tricks from players who've been there. Every move makes you stronger!
Test yourself against experienced players and see how far your game can go.
Meet locals, expats and travellers over the board. Chess is the excuse — friendship is the point.
No sign-up needed — just show up with your game face on. Boards are out twice a week, every week.
Every week at Jerusalem Restaurant Patong. Come early for dinner and a warm-up game, stay late for the serious battles.
Show up, play, and save. Members are players who've attended at least 3 chess nights in one month — or more than 10 in any period.
